Jerry has let me know he will be releasing his single player mission for Kingpin called
Orbital Sanctum at
11 am Saturday UK time (approximately 10 hours from now).
Here is Jerry's summary of the mission:-
A custom campaign for Kingpin: Life of Crime designed by Max "Jerry" Raffa, using all hand-drawn textures and brand-new levels set on the RV-308. 20 years after the events of the original game Thug unveils the Research Vessel 308, constructed using secret blueprints left behind by the late Moker. His son Moker Jr. has been appointed as the captain of the orbital cruiser, though lately his crew have been causing trouble for other passengers. Find out what he wants, clean up any revolting individuals and get back to Earth alive.
It will be available, initially, at his ModDB page
here.
*Update* Orbital Sanctum is now available.

Orbital Sanctum drops on ModDB on the 8th of July - one week away from now!
Assassins Epicenter is a large Bagman map ported to Kingpin from Half-Life back in 2000 by
Tunnleram.
Being from 2000 it is an old style map with no weapon caches but has weapons spread out around the map. Also the safe bags are in the bag of the troop carrier vehicles and opened by a nearby switch (see screenshot below).
It uses all the original textures and includes several signs pointing to the two bases.
You can download Assassins Epicenter BM map from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Here is a map I have been looking for, for a while, but didn't remember the name. Finally, I found it after loading maps from an old maps list.
The map is called Gangland Hideout and was made by
ANM-Bulldog back in 1999.
It is a good example of an early custom death match map. It is a large, two level, map, set inside a gangster's hideout. It uses all default textures.
It has lots of different areas, ten player spawns and at least one of every weapon.
You can download Gangland Hideout (bddm1.bsp) from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Here is a death match map I did back in 2005!
Back then I was asked to update the Chinatown Brawl map. The original Chinatown Brawl map was created by
Sgt. Pepper and
Racer(BSE) back in 1999. It's a good map but had only four spawn points so it badly needed some more.
I added six spawns so the map now has 10. I also added a heap of clip brushes so you no longer get caught on edges and corners. I changed some of the weapon and item placement and numbers, and tidied up some of the brushes and texturing.
Chinatown Brawl Revised is a small, claustrophobic map, with a tight layout.
It has one main area with a metal tower in the centre, also a sewer and some small areas and corridors connecting to the main area.
You can download Chinatown Brawl Revised from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Here is an older Bagman map you don't see on the servers these days.
The map is Team Deck16 and was made by
Creamator back in 2005.
It's a Bagman version of his Unreal Tournament DM map conversion Deck16.
This is a medium sized BM map with a fairly straight forward layout. The team areas have coloured floors signifying which team's area you're in (red for Dragons, blue for Nikkie's).
There are switches to open the safes (watch out for the slime) and lots of weapons and other items.
You can download Team Deck16 from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
I have been thinking about this map for about a week but couldn't remember the name. Finally, I found it by looking through some old mappacks. We used to play this map, and the older original version, a lot.
This version was done by
DirtyDog and this is how he describes it in the readme:-
This is a remake of ^VaM^'s classic, WindyCity. The map's been given a complete and total overhaul, holds about a 15 player load with plenty of weaps and ammo. The map's designed to be seen with your fog setting turned on as it has thunder and rain sounds but no biggie, it works fine without it. Hope you enjoy :)
You can download Windy City 2007 from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Hypov8 has redone the Dust textures he used in his de_dust conversion maps team_hypo_dust2 and bom_dust2.
They now look much closer to the originals and are much better.
The maps have been rezipped with the new textures and can be downloaded from here:-

Here is my new death match map called
Kill City.
This is a smallish death match map set in an urban environment. It is in the style of the Radio City maps.
It is mostly an original map but uses a modified Hoppers Cafe building and the car and hoist area from the original single player campaign.
There is an apartment building and Hopper's Cafe in the centre of the map which are surrounded by other buildings including a warehouse and car garage.
There is also a lower level passageway connecting two sides of the map.
It has ample weapons and items and 16 player spawns. It also has a low intensity fog affect.
You can download Kill City from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
I have added this old death match map to our archive. It's called For Your Fragging Pleasure... (kpdmmayhem.bsp) and was made by
[YFS]Mayhem back in the early days of Kingpin. It is a larger map in the style of KPDM5.
You can download KPDMMayhem from
here.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
