Elfor sent me a link to the June 1999 issue of PC Zone. They dedicated the cover to Kingpin and did an in depth review of the game as well (starting on page 76).
On thing that I noticed is they said there are four multiplayer modes - gangbang and team deathmatch but also CTF! lol and something called cashmatch where you steal money from dead players and the winner at the end of the match is the player with the most money.
You can read the entire magazine here.
We also host the magazine (in pdf format) in our Magazine download section here.
If you only want the Kingpin article, and not the entire PC Zone magazine, we host that here.

If you don't have the Power2 v1.1 mod files you can download them from the server or you can grab them from here.
The Power2 client files contain the client files and all power 2 maps.
If you have a very old Power 2 folder in your Kingpin folder then delete it first before instlling v1.1 client files.
Just extract/unzip the files to your Kingpin folder and they will be placed in the correct locations.
Power2 is a team based capture and hold mod like the Domination mod in the original Unreal Tournament. Each map contains three control points which the two teams (Warriors and Rogues) must control to gain points and win the round.

This should be a lot of fun so come along for a game :)
Cherno created all the Kingpin NPC's from Skidrow as character sprites for Doom. It was all part of a failed attmept to make a Kingpin TC for Doom.
This started out as a Kingpin TC. It was the first time I attempted create a mod for Doom so a lot of stuff was made less than ideal, which is one of the reasons I never got around to work on this further. Still, I spent a lot of time creating these character sprites which consists of all the characters from the first map of Kingpin in Skidrow. They are slightly taller than standard Doom monsters so scale them down a bit if you want. I provide the whole pk3 file with a replica of the first Kingpin map, a few weapons and the DECORATE code for the enemies and NPCs. Use them as you wish, I guess they could come in handy for a modern inner-city gangster scenario. Note that the Kingpin textures are available via Realm667 (or as part of this TC). I would like to add that the sprites are antialiased around their borders.
If this sounds interesting to you check it out here.
The file is in pk3 format , contains the character sprites, the skidrow map, some weapon sprites and the kingpin textures in png format and we host it here.
