PlanetKingpin timedemo benchmark for Kingpin (of course :)) 24/03/99

Installation
============

1. Make a new folder in the "main" folder called demos

2. Unzip the timedemo.dm2 into this folder

3. Rename you Kingpin demo folder to just 'kingpin'

3. Launch the demo from a DOS prompt with +developer 1 in the command line (i.e. c:\kingpin\kingpin.exe +developer 1) or
   add this to a shortcut. Doing this will launch the game straight into the console

4. Type "timedemo 1" (without speechmarks) and press enter

5. Now type "map timedemo.dm2" (without speechmarks again) and press enter...the demo will now run

6. run the demo 3 times, and after the third time jot down highest fps number of the 3 runs. This is your framerate.

If you wish you can send you results to me at kungfu@planetkingpin.com putting benchmark results as the subject title.
Put the spec of your machine (i.e processor speed, ram, 3dcard, etc), and what color depth you were running. If you are
running any voodoo card it will be 16bit, but if you happen to have a TnT or ATI Rage128 make sure you know which color depth
it is.

Do the timedemo at 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768, resolutions if posible.

Also run them with the following configs (you can access them all except props through the visuals menu):

Bigass
======

Fog=on
Shadows=on
pain skins=full (slider to the right)
props=on (you can do this by typing props 1 in the console)
Texture quality=high (slider to the right)

Lil ass
=======

Fog=off
Shadows=off
pain skins=low (slider to the left)
props=on (you can do this by typing props 0 in the console)
Texture quality=low (slider to the left)

Its important that you run the timedemo using these 2 configs so that everyone runs the same benchmark and cn compare
properly.
