SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
====================
The exporter was not specifically written to import MD2 models into Quake 2,
but was written for game engines that support MD2 animation.

IMPORTING
=========
Unwrap3D only supports skeletal animation, and not vertex animation.
Therefore, import is limited to a single frame.

Textures are imported if the PCX file is found in the same directory as the model.

EXPORTING
=========
On export, Unwrap3D will convert skeletal animation into vertex animation.

Note that MD2 vertices use lossy compression. It is recommended that
your original model is kept safe in another file format.

Skin Options
------------
All textures must have the same width and height, otherwise your
UV coordinates will not match up.

Typically, you should only use textures that are powers of 2 (e.g. 256 x 256).

Animations Options
------------------
Multiple animations can be exported. All animation names should be unique.

Rename:
On export, animation names are used in naming the MD2 frames.
Frame names are limited to a maximum of 11 characters. The remaining
5 characters are reserved for frame numbers.

Trouble-Shooting
================
MD2 models exported from Unwrap3D can be viewed using the MD2 Viewer 1.4 from
http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch.

Some notes:

- MD2 Viewer 1.4 only supports 256 color (8-bit) PCX files.
  It doesn't read JPG, TGA, or 24-bit PCX files. The texture will look corrupt if you try
  to load anything else.

- Under the Animation tab, uncheck "Strips and Fans". Otherwise, the model and the animation
  will not be visible.

  Reason:
  By default, the MD2 Viewer tries to display the MD2 using GL commands (Strips and Fans).
  Since this data is never exported, you must turn it off, so it renders the model normally.

- Under the "View" tab, uncheck "Enable Light" to give your model a better look.

- The MD2 Viewer splits frames into multiple animations solely by their frame name.
  Therefore, if exporting multiple animations, ensure that your names are unique.
